# What happens after you finish recording

After tapping the purple check mark to finish your recording, you'll see a few quick
actions you can take.

## 1. Choose an AI action (optional)

Run an AI action right away to summarize your message, generate bullet points, draft an
email, create a presentation outline, and more. AI actions turn raw voice notes into
polished outputs. See [AI](https://help.carbonvoice.app/ai).

## 2. View the transcript

A transcript is generated automatically. Tap to view, read, or edit it. That's useful when
you want to refine the message or repurpose it. See
[Messages](https://help.carbonvoice.app/messages).

## 3. Share the message

You can share a voice message in a few ways:

- **Send it to a person** using their email address or phone contact.
- **Post it in a conversation.**
- **Generate a shareable link** — anyone with the link can listen, reply, and engage.

## 4. Do nothing, and come back later

If you dismiss the notification, your message is still saved. You'll find all your
recordings later in [Voice Memos](https://help.carbonvoice.app/voice-memos).
