Search

Search reads transcripts, so you can find a message by what was said in it, not just by who sent it or when.

  • Across everything — from Home, tap the search icon or pull down. On desktop, press ⌘K.
  • Inside one conversation — open the conversation, tap its name at the top, then tap the search icon.
  • Several words — separate them with spaces, like meeting agenda.
  • An exact phrase — put it in quotes, like "quarterly review sync".

Results and filters​

Results are grouped into Conversations, Messages, Voice Memos and Contacts.

Narrow them with filters:

  • Conversation type — DM, Named, Async, or Business.
  • Message type — voice messages or text messages.
  • Attachments — with or without.
  • Label, From, and date.
