Create your own AI prompts
Carbon Voice ships with more than 40 AI actions. When none of them produces the shape you need, write your own.
Creating one
- Open any conversation.
- Tap the AI action icon in the lower right.
- On the bottom row, tap + on the left.
- Give it a title and write the prompt.
- Save.
Your prompt then appears alongside the built-in ones and works on any message, voice memo, or selection of messages.
Writing a good one
The prompt runs against a transcript, so say what you want done with what was said, and what the output should look like. Being specific about format is what makes the result reusable: "return a bulleted list grouped by owner" gets you something you can paste somewhere; "summarize this" gets you a paragraph.
Using one as an automation trigger
A custom prompt can also drive a Zapier workflow. In Zapier, choose User as the prompt type and your own prompts appear in the list, so an output you designed can post itself wherever it needs to go.
