Siri, sharing, and iMessage
Three ways into Carbon Voice on iOS that don't involve opening it.
Siri
Carbon Voice supports Siri for sending and finding messages, so you can ask for a message to go out hands-free. That's useful when you're driving or your hands are busy.
Siri needs permission the first time. If nothing happens, check Settings → Siri & Search → Carbon Voice on your device.
The share sheet
Anything you can share on iOS can be shared into Carbon Voice, whether that's an audio file you recorded elsewhere, a document, or a link.
- Tap Share in the other app.
- Choose Carbon Voice.
- Pick whether it goes into a conversation or your voice memos, and choose the destination.

iMessage
Carbon Voice has an iMessage app, so you can send a voice message from inside a text thread. Tap the apps row beside the message field, choose Carbon Voice, and pick the conversation.
From a notification
You don't need to open the app to deal with an incoming message either. Press and hold the notification to play it and reply from the lock screen. See Listen and reply from push notifications.
