What happens after you finish recording

After tapping the purple check mark to finish your recording, you'll see a few quick actions you can take.

1. Choose an AI action (optional)

Run an AI action right away to summarize your message, generate bullet points, draft an email, create a presentation outline, and more. AI actions turn raw voice notes into polished outputs. See AI.

2. View the transcript

A transcript is generated automatically. Tap to view, read, or edit it. That's useful when you want to refine the message or repurpose it. See Messages.

3. Share the message

You can share a voice message in a few ways:

• Send it to a person using their email address or phone contact.
• Post it in a conversation.
• Generate a shareable link — anyone with the link can listen, reply, and engage.

4. Do nothing, and come back later

If you dismiss the notification, your message is still saved. You'll find all your recordings later in Voice Memos.
